State and local compliance requirements as LeasedTourz expands nationally.
Independent contractor classification requirements vary by state. LeasedTourz monitors applicable classification laws (including AB 5 in California and similar legislation) and adjusts its contractor relationships as needed. Guides should consult legal counsel regarding their classification in their state.
LeasedTourz complies with applicable state privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA), Colorado Privacy Act (CPA), and other state laws as they are enacted. See the Privacy Policy for rights available to state residents.
Real estate licensing requirements and fair housing obligations vary by state. LeasedTourz operates as a tour scheduling platform and does not engage in activities requiring a real estate license. Clients and Guides are responsible for compliance with applicable real estate and fair housing laws in their markets.
LeasedTourz monitors marketplace facilitator and tax regulations in states where it operates. We collect and remit applicable taxes in accordance with state and local tax laws. Tax obligations are determined based on the client's billing address and applicable laws.
LeasedTourz obtains necessary business licenses in jurisdictions where it operates. Guides are responsible for any local business licenses required for their independent contractor activities in their respective markets.
As LeasedTourz expands into new markets, we review applicable state and local requirements and adjust our operations accordingly. This includes monitoring changes in laws that may affect our Platform, Guides, or clients. We recommend that Guides and clients consult local legal counsel for market-specific guidance.
